Etten-Leur

In Etten-Leur, near Breda, Vincent registered as a painter and had his first studio, while his father preached in the Van Gogh Church on the market square. You can also visit many other Van Gogh monuments here.

Zundert

Vincent van Gogh was born and spent his childhood years in Zundert. The memories of his youth are kept alive in the Vincent van Gogh House. His father was minister in the church in Zundert. You can visit the grave of his stillborn brother, who was also called Vincent van Gogh.

Van Gogh experience Etten-Leur

Vincent van Gogh’s story as an artist starts in Etten-Leur. Two exceptional locations, the Van Gogh Church and Museum Sint Paulushofje, take visitors on a journey through his early life and sources of inspiration.

In the Van Gogh Church, where his father was minister, you experience Vincent’s world and emotions through impressive projections and audio narration. Museum Sint Paulushofje shows the village life from around 1900 that touched Van Gogh so deeply.
